If it is the case I hope we have a clause in the deal that says we get first refusal should he decide to come back to SL. Or does that only apply if he was contracted to us and we receive a fee? Like others have said it might be a bit soon for him to try his luck out there something Arthur referred to when it first came about.
He?s off contract, we can?t put any clauses or anything in his future contract whatsoever. I?m not sure it?s fair giving him stick about ?loyalty?. It?s a short career and he will have been offered very good money to go play in the best RL competition in the world and go experience living in a different country before he has a family to think about. Good luck to him I say, he?ll go well over there, and if he does it probably guarantees him an England squad place for the WC. I don't think anybody is giving him stick, at least on here, but I but do think it's fair to be dissapointed in his decision to leave now, especially in the context of the last couple of years where the club has gone the extra mile in protecting his long term health. For the record, I've always thought he would be a world class player, and he think he'll become one in the NRL. However, I do wonder if the Warriors are the right club for any English player trying to make it over there. I really hope he leaves the Rhinos on good terms, because I thought you could sense Arthur's dissapointment at yesterday's presser. Spot on. I think it?s perfectly fair the comments on here. Very balanced

Jack Burton:Exeter Rhino:Would rather have Agar or Rohan back before this guy. The bloke has more lives than a sack of cats. He's managed to exceed the likes of John Kear in how far a coach can milk one Challenge Cup win... Can someone explain why he's still a top coach? If he was at an English club he would have been done years ago. To be fair, he has 20 years experience, coached at every level in Europe, has a fair amount of experience coaching in Australia and NZ. He's taken Catalans from the million pound game, to grand finalists, league leaders and CC winners. It's a very solid record. He wouldn't be my choice though. These are my thoughts too, I wouldnt pick him but hes not done a bad job at Catalan and I'd defs have him over Smith and Agar again. We could do a lot worse than McNamara but could also do better.

| Great news on Holroyd, losing him and Gannon would have been very bad news.
